Europe’s leading Independent music and media service company reports once again substantial sales and profit increase.

Hamburg - Due to the substantial sales and profit increase during the important Christmas quarter, edel music AG’s management board announces financial figures for the 1st quarter 2006 (Oct 1, 2005 - Dec 31, 2005). Unlike the compulsory half-year announcements, the company calculated the following financial figures in a simplified manner: EBITDA rose by 1.5 million EUR (+29%) to 6.6 million EUR (Dec 31, 2004: 5.1 million EUR) and EBIT by 1.6 million EUR (+47%) to 5.0 million EUR (Dec 31, 2004:  3.4 million EUR). Liquid funds as of December 31st, 2005 reached 12.8 million EUR (Dec 31, 2004: 10.2 million EUR). Group sales amounted to 49.9 million EUR, compared to 40.4 million EUR in the year before (+23%).

The audited results for the financial year 2005 will be announced in March, after the confirmation through edel’s supervisory board. The group’s half-year figures 2006 (Oct 1, 2005 - March 31, 2006) will be announced at the beginning of May.
