What we offer you

An apprenticeship at Edel is very practice-oriented. That’s why we involve you in the commercial and organizational part of the production of CDs, DVDs and books right from the start.

In the course of your 2.5-year apprenticeship, you will get to know many different areas of work. Audiovisual media specialists work at the interfaces of product organization, costing and accounting.

As apprentice , you will work in the product departments (Music, Books & Entertainment) and in our commercial departments (Accounting/Controlling, Sales). You will also gain valuable experience in the areas of marketing strategy and public relations.

• Your personal interests will be taken into account.
• You will be assigned projects on your own responsibility.
• The vocational school is the Medienschule Hamburg.
• You will be taught in six blocks of seven to eight weeks.

What we offer you

During your 2.5-year apprenticeship at Edel, you will learn how books come into the world. And: who and what helps them to be successful.

• You will gain insight into all production and marketing processes in the book industry and be involved in projects from the very beginning.
• You will gain experience in all relevant areas – editing, production, public relations, sales, controlling.
• You will benefit from versatile, challenging tasks with a strong practical orientation.
• The vocational school is the Medienschule Hamburg.
• You will be taught in six blocks of seven to eight weeks.

Apprenticeship period: 2.5 years

What we offer you

During your 3-year study and training period, we offer you the opportunity to acquire optimal qualifications – through an interesting mix of theory and practice.

In the dual course of Media Management & Communication you will benefit from practice-oriented business studies with a special focus on the media industry.

At the same time, you will undergo systematic training at Edel. In special media-specific modules, you will learn about selected topics, including the individual media carriers and corporate strategies in various media industries.

• 75 percent of the courses are hold in German and 25 percent in English.
• Theory phases at the university take about 20 weeks per year and alternate with practical phases (about 32 weeks per year).
• The practical training at Edel is based on the job description of audiovisual media specialist.
• Your degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 180 ECTS credits.

What we offer you

During your 3-year study and training period, we offer you the opportunity to acquire optimal qualifications – through an interesting mix of theory and practice.

In the dual studies of Business Informatics you will benefit from practice-oriented business studies with a special focus on the IT industry.

At the same time, you will undergo systematic training at Edel. In special IT-specific modules, you will learn about selected topics, including various database sytems and how to design or programm a software.

• 75 percent of the courses are hold in German and 25 percent in English.
• Theory phases at the university take about 20 weeks per year and alternate with practical phases (about 32 weeks per year).
• The practical training at Edel is based on the job description of digitization management.
• Your degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 180 ECTS credits.

During your 3,5 years of study and training, we offer you the opportunity to acquire optimal qualifications – through an interesting mix of theory and practice.

In the dual studies of Finance & Accounting you will benefit from practice-oriented business studies with a special focus on the finance industry.

At the same time, you will undergo systematic training at Edel. In special finance-specific modules, you will learn about selected topics, including various database sytems and how to design or programm a software.

• 75 percent of the courses are hold in German and 25 percent in English.
• Theory phases at the university take about 18 weeks per year and alternate with practical phases (about 30 weeks per year).
• The practical training at Edel is based in the fields of Controlling & Accounting.
• Your degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 210 ECTS credits.
